How do current university students feel about the increase of technological engagement and online resources-including submissions, and options relating to online ‘cloud’ courses in comparison to traditional physical campuses and assessments?
This outline the key findings found from my research project, there were some interesting and unexpected results.
Survey conducted involved 51 participants:
- Students still prefer physical campuses for their studies, rather than purely online alternatives
- The preferred communication channel is emailing when contacting tutors
- Students still attend the majority of their lectures- and those who do not attend state it is due to timetabling issues
- 82% of students have not considered online courses- many claiming this is due to them being younger enough to manage university and other commitments
